    CDR valve ?

Navistar does have them, but dealers may be sparse. Luckily I have one close to me. I got mine there, but was several years ago.

Post up your custom fuel pump/filtration setups....

Years ago on the other site, people were using the Holley Red pumps. I switched to that many years ago and don't have any issues. The pump states not for constant duty use, but I haven't had an issue (I do carry a spare in case). I also use the Napa 3417 filter, it does away with the lower...

    Sluggish intermittent wiper control

I had the same problem a year ago, I just bought a new switch assy from RockAuto, easy replacement.

    Motorcraft VSS Part #?

I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago, the old part number on my 92 is F37F-9E731-AA. It has been updated with a new part, but I threw away the packaging after I installed it. Give Ford this number and they can get you the new part. It's like $40. The one ifrythings has hyperlinked...

    Machine Shop California

I'm in Ventura County and used Speedys Automotive Machine Shop in Oxnard. They were recommended by my Napa guys (he does a lot of Napa's machining). Not sure where in SoCal you are, if that would work for you.

black or grey rtv? which is better for oil pans

I have an International (now Navistar) dealer local to me, I bought a tube of their silicone RTV last time I did one. That's what the engine originally came with. I wouldn't be afraid to use any good name brand RTV. Just clean the mating surfaces as good as you can first.

    Seized fan clutch!

It's easier too, if you leave the belt on. That way it helps hold the water pump pulley while you try loosen the fan clutch.

    Engine removal

What you're saying makes sense, and I'm sure the NA experience is more dramatic. But I'm just stating my towing experience on the same grades with the same load. Level road not an issue, as a NA will do just fine (I have both).

    Engine removal

Yeah, i just did this too and spent $4900 (in CA) on machine work and full rebuild, but engine is turbo spec and runs very strong. I can pull my 10k 5'r up all the grades at 55mph (and engine not broke in yet). Huge difference between a tired engine and fresh. Didn't bother me to spend $5k...

    Engine removal

Check the compression before you pull it out. If you're going that far and compression is on the low side, you might as well do rings too. Especially with a turbo and that many miles, your engine may like fresh head gaskets too. Heck, just do bearings too and be done with it ($3500 later.....).

    Larger transmission pan

Better off with the cooler, get the biggest you can if you tow heavy. Heat is what degrades tranny fluid.

    Turn Indicator Switch

Check Rock Auto, mine's a 92 but I just installed a new one. It wasn't Motorcraft, but was the same quality/looked exactly the same as the original I pulled out. I replaced mine because only half of the delayed wiper settings worked.

    F600 too heavy to tow?

You should be ok, especially if you have 4:10 rear end. My 5'r grosses out at just under 11k and my truck does just fine except on the long steep grades.

    Re ring in frame?

Just pull the engine. If you need rings, you probably could use bearings and a valve job anyway. No sense doing it half-assed. I just rebuilt my engine a month ago. Remove the fan, pulleys, radiator and it will come out. You need to angle the front of the engine towards the drivers' side as...

    Commercial tire question

Another vote for the BF Goodrich Commercial T/As here. Great mileage and load capacity. I have 235 85 16s and on my second set. Costco has them for a good price, especially if you time it with a $80 off rebate.
