EGR delete questions
MAF is use to help calculate the valve to open and and how much. But the Temp difference in the intake has to be sensed. Even though it knows how far the valve is open and no temp change. Then it triggers a engine light. 03-early 04’s don’t have that issue- Ford428CJ

Identify this oil pump
Back in 2011. My 03 HPOP took a dump. I bought an Reman Motorcraft Pump for it. Haven’t had a problem as of yet. Maybe knock on wood. Been doing very well. Lately I have been changing out a lot of the newer style pumps with about 100,000 miles - 150,000 miles on them. Sent from my iPhone...- Ford428CJ

Something you don’t want to see in your oil cooler.
Looks like sandy gold! LOL Sand casting out of my oil cooler. Oil got hot (50 degrees at one point) but lucky I was running the good stuff. I made my own back flush kit to get it cleaned out with the help of a coolant gun and 110psi of air. Ran a couple of days with CRC Salt terminator and...- Ford428CJ

Be very careful of the oil your using in any Powerstroke~

Identify this oil pump
Bismic is correct on the years. The iron one is 2004.5 and on. I own a early 6.0 and it has the rounded guy LOL I have had good luck Motorcraft pumps and BWD pumps myself. Just be very cautious of the oil use! Shell Rotella T-4 is fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro- Ford428CJ

EGR delete questions
I have done quite a few deletes and use the SCT 1515 P tuner to do so. You can leave the valve in or totally pull the valve and use a block off plate. It won’t trigger an engine light. Also, if you leave the cooler in. Have a thick block off plate welded. Or get a EGR cooler delete. I have done...- Ford428CJ

Yes they are.... No doubt! I do a lot of HPOP’s and other things on them. But normally, I haven’t seen an electrical issue with them. Besides FICM power to the injectors and some sensors. You know..... Otherwise I really love them and think they are great! Long as they are taken care of...- Ford428CJ
