I have a zf5 w a drain plug that has an aluminum seal ring on it. Torqued my drain plug bolt to 60Nm per the zf5 manual and it’s got a slow drip (small stain on driveway overnight). Should I try getting a copper crush washer to replace the aluminum seal ring? Or am I going to need to tap a new...
So I have a 92 7.3 IDI w/ a zf5 and recently was visiting my dad that has a 96 7.3 powerstroke w/ a zf5 and noticed that his truck has an extremely loud almost deafening noise when the clutch is out in neutral. Waaaayyyy louder than my truck’s zf5. I noticed sometimes I if I mess around with the...
I looked around and I really don’t think there’s anything further forward that can get that radiator hose. Also the saturation of the coolant on the fitting makes me think that it’s either that or the hose…. Where else do you think it could leak in that area?

Idk if this has been mentioned yet, but I had the weirdest intermittent glow plug issues, stumped me for a good while. Turned out to be my fusible link wires would be hot but short under load. I definitely recommend replacing your fusible link. I chose to run some thicker gauge wire with a mega...
In in the process of finishing this, but I deleted my ashtray and an autometer triple gauge mount fits perfect!! I also ordered some gauge angle rings to put them towards me at the angle I like.
