Anyone had this problem?
So I kept tinkering and double checked both pinyon nuts and they were pretty loose. Vibration went down pretty well. May need a rebuild eventually, but I'm going to get a few more miles out of it. Also put 3 more pumps of grease in the rear ujoint and that play reduced as well.- Desertfireguy

Awesome. Sounds like I get to do more research/work. Do you think changing the yoke would be easier than swapping the axle? I'm guessing if all this stuff is squirrely, it might be time for a complete driveline rebuild. Either that, or someone on here can hand me $6K and make it their problem...- Desertfireguy

Vibration occurs at about 50 and 75mph. Increases frequency between 75 and 80 which I don't do for long. I replaced all 3 rear u-joints, but it still persists. That is where I started to try to rule out the driveline. Saw them pull and balance all 4 while I waited. Pressures filled to specs inside door. Have no idea what else to check.- Desertfireguy

I do have and use a torque wrench, but don't remember being able to find the specs for these bolts when I rebuilt the ZF6. I'll definitely watch it on the next couple of rides and if they loosen again, I'll Loctite them. Side note, I was able to grease the rearmost u-joint (zirc fitting) but...- Desertfireguy

So admittedly, I don't drive my trucks very often. I used my 2000 to make a couple of runs over the past few weeks and noticed a vibration at 75mph. Truck Hard to start when cold
Really sounds like air intrusion to me. Happened last time I changed the fuel filter and was a simple fix solved by a little extra grunting while tightening the filter. Amsoil synchromesh in ZF-5
The Pennzoil version didn't make enough of a difference, so I ended up rebuilding with a new synchro/bearing kit. I did refill with new Pennzoil and haven't had any issues since.- Desertfireguy

Vacuum lines
Not sure if it helps, but I ordered 50' of motorcraft hose for $63 bucks a while back and it's the only size I needed. Also replaced the "coffee can" reservoir. Hose part# was DOPZ-12226-B- Desertfireguy

Too loud?
Just put a MBRP S6200P Turbo Back Single Side Exhaust System on my 2000 F250. Surprised how much difference it made. Discharged right behind right rear tire (routed up over axle). Amazon $329 +free shipping to my door in an 80lb box.- Desertfireguy

vacuum brake booster
Check that coffee can ( Mine is behind the DS headlight on my 92), your manifold, and one way check valves. Cheap replacement. New vacuum lines aren't that expensive either. Think I bought a 25' spool of motorcraft line for not much of anything.- Desertfireguy

Well, good news is, I got it rebuilt. Bad news is, my swear jar is full and I didn't take any pictures. Once I figured out how everything worked, it really wasn't bad. Haven't updated my signature line, but my 92 NA was lonely, so I bought her this 2000 PSD to play with. It's the ZF6. Got everything apart easy enough. Just waiting on a couple of tools to tear into the transmission.- Desertfireguy
