    Well greenskeeper not many engines around here for that. Don't know what you're getting. Another 4 grand to rebuild at least so we'll see.Gotta check compression etc. Yet to see maybe just rings bearings. When I get test done decide best route to go then.

    Well back again after the flu.The rebuilt long block is a jasper.Wants $5500 for it with the rebuilt injectors and hpop. Has 15 months warranty left.He has 97 powerstroke this engine came out of,he'll give me ecm etc. to me. I just don't know about those jasper rebuilds.Have you guys heard good...

    Well thanks everyone for info. The rebuild is a 97'. Need to find out what's all done to that new motor.Guy put new injector pump New hp oil pump and new exhaust manifolds.It is a rebuild from jasper with a warranty year left. I will update you guys tomorrow.

Well engine is a master rebuild.Has a 97 new hpo p New engine from bottom up turbo all from 97' truck and new exhaust manifolds.Guy says has rebuilt injectors but don't know if split -shot.     Found a 97 powerstrok E rebuilt engine. Want to put into my 94 so truck. Question is how much difference is there in electronics? Anything else to change I should know about. Any info would help because 97 is complete with new hpop and turbo for $5000.

    Lots of blowing Lot of crankcase pressure with oil filter cap off. Barely runs and lots of vibration. Without knowing it's history yea maybe toast!

    Anyone on here know best companies for a rebuild long block for 94 psd? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Truck has 223000 on it but don't know it's history. Not running .

    Well donor n/a motor is auto tranny. New 94 turbo motor is 5 speed so guess I'll need another flywheel on the n/a motor I'm putting in right?Then use turbo on the n/a

    Yes I will. Garage where truck was towed said truck used 2 gal. Of oil in 300 mi.,oil to top of dipstick.Ran but missed.Would only start with diesel poured into intake.About 200,000 on motor.Might be toast.Truck not here yet so we'll see!

    Yes it is a idi turbo not powerstroke. Bought the truck for 1300 bucks. Thanks for the input. I will take a picture of it when I get it.200,000 mi. On it but you could eat off it that clean new tires and loaded,guess he just have up on it!

    Newbie here so bear with me.Own 89 f-450 7.3 n/a with poor power etc. 179,000 mi. Have 1990 donor truck with 60,000 original miles,it runs good.Question can I swap ip's. My truck is zf-5 tranny. Donor truck is auto tranny. Any info would help.Thought I'd get new injectors also.
