    It's a baby moose pump from Conestoga diesel so I'd hope the pump isn't the issue but since it went away I don't believe it's a pump issue but I could be wrong

The engine only has 59k miles on it and I just had the valve covers off and it was really clean under there so I don't think it would be a lifter but it's not off the table.     I just put a new injection pump in and timed it, took it on a test drive and on the way back while I was coasting down a hill in 3rd gear I got a horrible engine knock for about a minute then went away mostly. I can still somewhat hear a knock at idle when I'm not in the truck, sounds like one...

    Yeah I was really trying to avoid pulling the good one off my parts truck because i planned on using it to plow this winter but probably going to try the pump from that truck since i know that truck starts up and runs amazing

    Not on my truck, i have the static timing set since it needs to run to set dynamic timing

    I pulled the top of the ip off and the metering valve moved pretty freely although it looked like there was a little bit of crud at the bottom

    I forgot to mention that i also have been trying to bleed the system for three days aswell and still got no fuel out of the injection pump

    I will check that in the morning, the truck has been sitting for a few days now so if it is leaking it would have had plenty of time to leak out. But from what i can see the previous owner replaced most of the metal lines but looked like the rubber ones might be old and the truck did sit alot...
