Boy you 7.3 guys are all alike, only thinking of yourselves. Never mind the 6.9 guys, but then I don't need anything stamped on mine. Maybe some stickers.- 86.9

LED Headlight Bulbs in lieu of Relay
Instead of sanding the stock plastic lenses a quick and easy way with excellent results is to use Mothers aluminum polish on them. Best results are obtained with a buffer, but you can still get amazing results by hand. Afterwards some 303 protectant will make it last for awhile. I have tried one...- 86.9

Aftermarket valve covers
I always liked the look of the engine with chrome covers. I think Banks did that on one of his display engines and it looked real good. Chrome isn't cheap and then all the hardware needs done too.- 86.9

Might be worth looking into a flowkooler water pump. I would recommend water wetter too.- 86.9

Free turbo with help
I have thought about cutting the stock box up to make access a lot better on things. Did you guys notice an improvement in any way with the remote filter setup? To me I could see the stock box as a huge heat sink that just preheated the intake air. I was going to use a canister style air cleaner...- 86.9

1986 f250 4x4 6.9 c6 will crank and run but idles rough.
The glowplugs are just to get things warmed up for starting. They won't have anything to do with a miss. The lift pump won't be the issue either as it would not just be the one cyl. acting up. I am probably not the person to say, but I would suspect an injector or a mechanical problem in that...- 86.9

4.10 ring and pinion for H D sterling
These were in an 86 F250 that was my dads truck. He installed them to pull a camper. I bought both and put the stock ratio back in after selling the camper. The truck has 90,000 on it now and I would guess these gears have about 50,000 miles on them. Pretty sure I have the box they came in from...- 86.9

Weird issues, usually at startup or soon after
I haven't changed the filter yet, but that was on the list. Filling the tanks seems to have gotten rid of the issue. I am fairly certain it is the fuel pump. Jeff- 86.9

Weird issues, usually at startup or soon after
My truck has started acting up on me and I wanted to see what you guys thought. This usually occurs soon after startup and it really bugs me. The engine speed starts getting lower and lower until it dies. It doesn't start right back up, but sometimes it takes so long I wonder if it is going to...- 86.9

steel core valve cover gasket for the idi
I just ended up and got new neoprene ones as they called them at the parts store. Just looked like regular rubber ones to me. I didn't figure there were any available for the 6.9. but thought it might be worth asking. Thanks. Jeff- 86.9

I would like to get a set of the steel core valve cover gaskets for my 6.9. I really like the set on my 351 and was wondering if anyone makes them for the 6.9. I have been searching and haven't come up with anything. Anyone know if they are made and by whom and a part number by chance? Thanks...- 86.9

How much atf to put in tank
Since I am able to only use a little over 10gals. out of each tank I guess I should add a 1/2 qt. to each tank then. And what is rug? Jeff- 86.9
