Fan clutch
Ok, need a fan clutch that works, got one from Rock Auto that was worthless. Anyone with a cure for crap parts, ie fan clutches? Or options? Thanks, Phil- 84 4x4

Doing install of Wes's turbo kit
Just got it fully assembled and driveable tonoght. Will take it to work tomorrow, 22 miles one way, 1000 foot drop with minor grades going into town, 1000 foot climb going home. Ok. Problem is I have no idea what the metering valve looks like or anything about the parts inside the pump. And now that it is running I am not about to put that back on again when I don't know what I am doing. I need a running truck yesterday. I can't shut it down until maybe June to test it...- 84 4x4

And I tested the solenoid by pulling the wire while they key was on and it clicked every time. I pulled the glow plugs and only got fuel mist from two cylinders thru the glow plug holes while cranking the engine. I did everything I could think of to narrow it down to the IP. Ok, I spent a week trying to start it after work every night. I changed out the Ip and had it running smoothly in 15 minutes. So if there is nothing wrong with the 90cc pump, why will it not work, perhaps the solenoid got burned up. I was at my wits end on this. It fired up for maybe thirty...- 84 4x4

Finally, after beating my head against the wall and using up my brother in laws garage for a week. I found the problem. The 90cc injection pump was crap. Brother in law got so p-d off at this project, he pulled an electric pump of his truck and we hooked it up from a gas can full of diesel...- 84 4x4

Replaced GPs with Beru. Now not getting any smoke out of tailpipe. After too much cranking, sometimes get a wisp of white smoke. keep trying to bleed lines at injectors, maybe I am letting air in? I checked voltage at the glow plug connector, 12.57 volts on my Fluke meter. Is this the right voltage? I took 3 glow plugs, connected them one at a time to jumpers on the battery positive to connector and negative to threads, and did not get hot, measured resistance from probe to threads and...- 84 4x4

Engine installed. Fired up and ran rough for thirty some seconds and died. this was 3 days ago. Still cannot get it to start. Killed a set of tired batteries. Put in new 850 cca batteries. Great pictures. What really stood out is the routing of the injector hard lines where the air filter fits. I will have to bend the lines down for the factory air filter box. Thanks !- 84 4x4
