But how could it run to back it into his garage (it was cold by then)? Is there anything that could have gone wrong with the head gasket change? I mean...all points to pistons/rings because of the blowby, but...
I'm not familiar with 6.2 heads.
A friend of mine had bad luck with his K30. The lower radiator hose blew apart and he lost all his coolant and overheated the engine because he didn't notice it fast enough. As he wanted to pull to the side it already was too late and the motor started to die and stopped running.
He got towed...
His Dads name is David. I think i picked that up from one of his videos. His farm has nothing to do with the 'ol "Davidsfarm" but I guess we all saw videos of him and got inspired by some of them...sadly it all went down the hill.
BTW: now you know that Im here too Tyler ;)
I use Delvac MX 15W40 in my IDI and Powerstroke. The IDI did consume some oil too before that (whatever the preowner used?) and after I changed to Delvac no oil needed to be added between oil changes. Same with the Powerstroke which is do for an oil change now (almost 5000mls reached).
I will look if i can get to it in a couple days. It would be nice if its right in the turbo feed but I have a aftermarket ATS088 on it and the sending unit is burried in its old place - right under the turbo
That means i have to somehow bend me in shape to get behind/underneath the turbo :-\ I'll try to look at it.
Is there a possibility that this could also be the spring in the oil filter head? Or something else?
Engine sounds totally normal with 'no oil pressure'.
After a long time I'm back with a weird problem with my oil gauge on my 88 7.3.
I know that it's just a 'idiot light' and not meant to be moving - but now it does !!! ...but in a 'bad' way:
If i accelerate the pressure drops so far that the engine light comes on. If I let off the throttle it...
The factory gauge is just a dummy - it only indicates you have above I think 7psi. If it shows more or less sometimes then it's just because it has a bad or good day, or it rains / the sun shines LOL
The location on the turbo is ok. If you want, you can tap into a oil gallery where the oil...
Finally added a sidepipe :D
I wanted to build a nice one with new pipe but it's hard to find the right size over here and I though I already have it laying in the garage... so I cut the original exhaust pipe where it bends over the rear axle and welded it on after the cat.
Looks not "nice" but...
Built a relay/fuse holder couple weeks ago for my upcoming "headlight relay mod" and soldered in a new headlight switch plug (headlight and dimmer switch will be replaced too).
I welded the piece of flat steel onto the jack holder (the jack is carried in the toolbox...). Fits right in and ends...
Isn't that CDR completely useless installed how it is?
I mean how should it vent compression gasses if both the inlet and outlet are connected to the crankcase ???
The outlet should be connected to the air intake - positive gases from the crankcase can then be sucked into the intake and get...
Nooo they aren't stupid LOL
As long as you have compression, right timing, working injectors / pump, air and fuel without air they run.
I think your IP is bad.
