Please don't crucify me! I needed to fix an oil leak coming from my ip housing and I thought I'd share how I did it even though everyone says it's the wrong way. I took the cover off the front of the housing and took whiteout and put a mark on the hub of the gear and the housing on the inside.

I thought I could write more on the description. But that was pretty much it. When I went to return the housing and IP to the motor I just made sure the gear was still lined up. The next day when the rtv dried I cranked it and after fuel returned to the lines everything was fine.
