I have a 250 gallon gravity feed tank that I want to store my cleaned and mixed wmo in. As I've only made small batches in the past it hasn't been an issue but will the wmo separate from the rug over time. Say if I was using the fuel over a few months would I have to worry about separation? Thank you for your help.

What is "RUG"

Also what is it mixed with?

"RUG" = Regular Unleaded Gasoline

I would "assume" that if they are WELL MIXED, both of them being petroleum products they should stay mixed. That however is just an assumption on my part.

I don't think you even have to mix it well .Gasoline and oil sort of just fall together when mixed. also it will never, ever separate . i have had "mixtures " like that sit 5+ years ,and nothing goes on .

While I don't believe they will separate, the gasoline can and most likely will flash off vapor. Said vapor is very flammable. So keep the lid on the container to keep the vapors out of your shop. I welcome experienced comments here from those that mix and store quantities of WMO and Gasoline or WVO and Gasoline relative to my assumptions.

Turbo: you are correct. for me i keep everything outside covered from rain and sun but still open enough so it can air out. more for the fact spills and leaks will happen (over the years quite a few have) and if your leak is inside , you have a giant mess.

As far a gasoline , i like old gas better anyway. it does the same job thinning out WVO but less explosive and around here it's mostly free from someone on CL looking to get rid if it.

After running they a centrifuge, I’ve never experienced separation as of yet. I doubt I’ve stored more than 3 months worth either.

Thanks for sharing. I just want to make sure I will be ok as I plan to make about 200 gallons at a time.

Your post was about a month ago but thought I'd jump in since I have direct experience. My oil storage is 275 gallons and yes, I've had problems with separation of oil/gas even after centrifuging. What I do is it it sits for more than a few weeks, I'll just centrifuge it for a full pass again and bubble some air through it to get it mixed again.

Thank you. That's what I was fearing.
