Long story short, rebuilt motor, was running great .
Headed to town one morning, noticed it was low on fuel. Pulled up to the pump shut it off. Filled her up, acted like it went to start and died immediately .
Thought maybe it lost fuel prime, bled injectors (same as I did on initial start up after rebuild) cranks over all day . Wont start. Noticed wait to start light on dash quit coming on.
Just replaced glow plug relay and controller. All new glow plugs at rebuild. Dont hear anything from glow plug relay when key is turned, no wts light, still wont start .
What should be my next move?
Any help appreciated!

May have burnt a fusible link on the ignition circuit, with the key on unplug the first print connector on the top of the ip and plug it back in. You should hear an audible click when the ignition is on

You’ve either got no power there or a dead fss. You can hot wire power from the battery to that prong and see if it clicks. If it does then you have a fusible link or blown fuse. You can leave it hooked up like that just to get home.

And I have checked every fuse I can find on the truck and none were blown.
Are the fusible links the one's at the solenoid on the inner fender?

That’s correct, the connection you are looking for is by the dipstick, the harness goes from the glowplug harness to the passenger side fender, if you trace it you find the connector in between. The two yellow wires usually melt and destroy the connector

Also forgot to mention the guy I bought the truck from hooked up a push button to the ignition to start it. I assumed the moon-shaped piece in steering column was broken . Truck started fine with push button . Could it be further issues with the ignition switch?

It definitely could be, do you still turn the key to turn the ignition on and the push button engages the starter?

Got a wild hair and went and checked these things.
Hot wire to fss and it is clicking .
The only harness connector I can find is a round 8-pin connector with 5 pins being used. It looks good.
From what I can tell, there are 3 fusible links at that solenoid. All feel ok, but I haven't bypassed them to check them.
And yes. I would turn the key on, and use button to engage starter.

The wiring connector in question has proven to be a problem for a number of us. On my '92 (actually built the end of '91) the connector is on the driver's side fender well. If you find the two heavy yellow wires at the glow plug controller just follow them to a connector.

My connector burned/melted. The truck wouldn't fire, wouldn't even think of firing. I eliminated those two yellow wires from that connector, and powered the glow plug controller from the hot side of the starter solenoid. Below is a picture of the ugly mess of the burned connector.

Well you got fuel at the injectors since you said you tried re bleeding so I don't think it's mechanical. Plus the abruptness of it not starting, in my mind, means electrical.

Just to confirm, did you try starting when you had a jumper hot wire to the fss or just check for it to click (probably a dumb question)?

Or could be your ignition switch. Forgot about that. Mine failed and it would let the truck crank but not start. Granted you use a push button but the ignition still has to be turned to "run" and if it's on it's way out it won't let the truck run. They're worth replacing just because of this and they get worn. It's 10 min and $14 to be sure.

The sob prior owner of my truck had jb welded a broken ignition switch back together rather than replace it. Well, it left me stranded.
