2000 F250 PSD 6 speed
Buddy of mine had a rough trip to the mountains to meet up with us. About half way the truck died. Wouldn’t start. After a tow and a scan, dealer replaced the injector driver module and sent him on his way. Top of the last mountain it comes up lame. Not enough power to pull itself and the trailer behind it. He coasts it to the bottom of the mountain and comes to find us. Long story short it sounds to me like it’s running on 7. Rhythmic puff of white smoke. Will drag itself at an idle but that’s about it. Tonight he got the code pulled and he sent me this.
We are thinking maybe broken wire or possibly loose connector under the valve cover.
He fairly recently added a TS programmer, cold air intake and 5” exhaust. I believe that was 600 miles ago.
Any help is appreciated. I know nothing about these but I’m trying to help him out.
