Seeing how it's running a Facet pump and he makes the point of specifying that they're Motorcraft plugs, I'd be surprised if the owner isn't a member either here or at FTE.

Seems like a great deal if it isn't rotten.

Seems like a decent deal to me. The listing says it has a rebuilt/salvage title which means either it was scrapped or totaled by insurance and then put back together. That doesn't necessarily mean a deal breaker but it would make me a little more cautious. I'd want to look every inch of the frame over very carefully for damage just to be safe.

Looks like they hit something with the drivers side front. The bumper looks like it was kinked and straightened back out. You can tell the trim panel under the headlight is pretty beat up too. I noticed under the drivers side taillight there's a few creases too.

If I was local and looking for a truck it's DEFINITELY worth looking at at that price. It looks decent from the pictures. I paid more than that for my 91 F350.

I'm going to go agaisnt the grain here.i would definitely pass.
Many insurance companies won't insure with a salvage/rebuilt title.

Rebuilt title worries me a bit too. I'll make sure to look it over closely. Rebuilt titles are pretty common here. Used to not be able to get a loan on one either, now it's not much of a problem.

Just got word on the rebuilt title.
"Yes it was in an accident I was driving and some one ran into me it totaled the other car and I got a finder bender that my husband fixed that's why part of the truck is black and it has a new head light. I drove it home after the accident it saved my unborn baby and two year olds life. And runs great we have had the truck for four years the accident was two years ago."

KBB on that truck (gasser) is probably $700, so if someone dings your fender with their door in a parking lot, the insurance companies and f***ing DMV would consider it "totalled." The valuation system in the U.S. for older automobiles is total sh**.

If an airbag explodes in a car nowadays, it's considered "totalled" because it costs as much as $2k to replace. I had a car get totalled because of some slight bumper damage and an airbag went off. I argued that I could easily pick up a new steering column from the LQK Pick-u-part and replace the bumper, bumper cover, and steering column for less than $300 (excluding paint), but the agent didn't give a sh**. They gave me a low-ball check and the DMV forced me to take the salvage title, making it uninsurable.

Salvage title would concern me a little too. I'm not an expert on what insurance companies are like in the states though.

If the truck is solid, it could be a good deal. Even a cracked frame is easier to fix than one that's rotted through.

Any way you look at it though...it will likely be a project. Then again, what IDI isn't nowadays?

EDIT: And in case you're wondering, that is a non-wastegated turbocharger kit. Most likely the ATS088.

No one likes the dmv, but this is a public forum and we try to keep language to a minimum, thanks for understanding.

Thanks. I thought it was an 088. That's good it's what I wanted. I currently have an 85 250 ex cab that I wanted to find a hypermax for. This would replace it.

Anyone know anything about this larger radiator he supposedly put in? From the pics it looks like the wide style but it doesn't have a shroud and he said the a/c condenser didn't fit anymore. If I do get it I'd want to set the a/c system back up.

I’d say he probably had to replace the core support and he found a non ac truck and stole the core and rad out of it, only dealer installed ac is really compatible with that setup, I’d avoid it.

No problem running ac on a short wide radiator.
Those weren't exactly "dealer installed ac," they were factory ac. None of that special order crap like the older trucks.

That truck has been posted for weeks. Other than insurance and registration make sure you check it out thoroughly. Something has been keeping other buyers scared.
