So you are getting 12v to it and still notice no change in engine tone? IIRC energizing the advance should engage high idle (or maybe its the other way), but it should have a louder more clackity idle (more like a 7.3 powerstroke) with it advanced.
Maybe someone on here as a good used IP for cheap?
Nope I can’t say I hear a difference. Maybe it’s out of time so much that even that isn’t making a noticable difference.
I will have to find a curved wrench to fit that hard to reach bolt, if I hope to try to adjust timing myself. I don’t have the means to make one like many people do.
The awful 25mph+ gusts are gone now. I’ll know better in an couple hours once I (try to) get up to highway speed again.
