Looks like an easy solution to the problem. I'll try it. Thanks

When I hit the puddle it gives me a true blue kick, because that about the time, caffeine Kick in, and those tires start spinning. The hat trick keeps the mud out and no worries about shorting out the air cleaner. Good Luck

Just wanted to add the part number to this so people can find it if they need it, it is a cheap enough part and still available-

GREAT IDEA BUT REMEMBER TWO THINGS:
1). That 'Z' bent resister bar GETS EXTREMELY HOT. If the inside edge of the coffee can gets too close to it, the resistor bar can melt right through it and plastic will drip down onto the resistor and the controller creating a stinky mess.

2). CUT SOME AIR VENT SLOTS or drill some holes and de-bur them to allow hot air to flow out and cooler air to enter the covered space. The original protective covers were open ended on the passenger side and had vent slots on the top and sides on the driver's side half. I'll post a photo of one later plus an original one that melted and burnt all the way through when the GP Relay stuck closed circuit (energized) and that 'Z' resister probably got white hot. The truck ran and drove like that for about 15 minutes. I'll also so explain later the whole sequence from first symptoms to what got damaged *(not much) and what surprisingly didn't get damaged (and why) .
