Were the Obs F-Superdutys ever manufactured in an extended cab or crew cab?

Weird that they didn't.
you mean the "gamble" was started back in 1988.......in fact, F450 towtrucks and car carriers still command a premium price as old as they are.You have to figure, Ford was gambling on the nearly-absent class 4-5 truck sector at the time. (88?)
For '95 they had a much better diesel than the GM 3500HD. I think popularity grew from there, and within 4-5 years we had F450/550 4x4 crewcabs.

1995 and later had a F450 crewcab option through Centurion. They also had a 4x4 option too. Both options were often out of reach for the private individual, but was seen in city and ulility fleets.
couple of things to consider.I believe Quigley also did a 4x4 conversion. I would love to get my hands on a 4x4 conversion and a larger cab, but I'm guessing it's probably cheaper to buy another truck.
this is why I built this rig. It flies under DOT radar in a big way. Since it does, I don't have to worry as much. my weight is "1ton" by a quick visual look, it's under 26k gross combined with the trailer and it's under 40 feet long. DOT can KMA![]()

you're looking at what started as a F250 SRW 4x4. 4.10 lsd 10.25 rear 4.10 D50 front. the PO put in the oem pickup DRW rear axle and dually hubs on the D50 front. Somewhere along the way, it got a T19 put in. When I got to it, I put in a ZF5 with a GV behind the 1356 transfer case. a 4.10 D60 front also found it's way under the truck. So can you explain what we are looking at?
