Howdy folks! Well the turbo is in and old Diego is much improved. At wot, it's making about 7-8# of boost. If I adjusted the wastegate rod would I see more boost or a quicker spool? I've got got the fuel turned up about a flat and a half and next week I'll be paying a visit to Corey to make sure that the timing is where it should be.
BTW if I keep my foot in it, the EGT's would, I think continue to rise past 1100*. I've got absolutely no desire to cook or break anything, this truck need to be dependable before all else...

Yes you can get more boost ...spool is unknown(by me)
Yes egt's can go to high, more fuel make it worse ..more air makes it less...
Search drilling out the dimples on the rod
DO NOT ADJUST IT TILL YOU READ THIS
My 093, in my sig line w/stock pump (unknown fuel screw setting) will just hit 11.5-12# and 1000-1100*
I would tune it to 10# and 1000* for foolproof driving till you know what more you can get away with...

I would set timing them adjust the wastegate, my guess is that’s the cause of the high egts and low boost number

Thanks Gents! I'll wait until after it's timed to adjust the wastegate. I've got a mandatory road trip this weekend, about three and a half hours each way, not pulling the trailer and not in a rush. What's a (very) safe cruising exhaust temperature?

You’re not hurting anything under 1200 but the higher your egt the more your cooling system has to work
