Glow Plug Push Button Verification

I have looked and not 100% sure, so I am going ask to be sure.

I am going to be under the hood doing other work, I am going to replace my bad controller here shortly but for now, I am going to install a push button. I am gonna leave the push button for emergencies after.....

To verify, on the 7.3 solid state glow plug controller:

Connect a momentary push button to GROUND where the white wire connects to the relay?

Going to get a button in a few and going to do this after we replace the radiator........

Yeah, I believe so. That relay has two small terminals, one to power and one to ground(which doesn't matter). The stock setup gives one terminal power all the time, and the controller connects the other to ground to energize the relay.

If you are leaving everything else, you can just hook ground through the push button and to the white wire terminal on the relay.

If you have a push button connected to 12V, you simply need to remove both of the small wires off that relay, connect your push button to one, and ground the other directly.
