heres from my newly installed system. Remember just before install I flushed the system probably ten times with soap/ radiator flush/ distilled water, all before my expensive coolant. I only ran this filter maybe 100 miles before it plugged up. I have another one on the truck and it's still flowing so I think this caught the majority of crud

What's amazing is seeing the sca additives, looks like they are encased in a soft membrane if I squeeze them they pop and this brown sludge comes out. Must dissolve slowly and release I assume

When I did the flush no. Pretty much for two weeks every couple days I'd drain it all out and refill with new flush and drive it. I did that about ten times, just goes to show I probably should've removed em!

Are those sca additive or stop leak?
thats the sca additive built into the filter. for the first few filters i would just run the cheap no additive ones. atleast until after te first 3-5 thousand miles.

Yep that's what I wish I did! At the time I didn't know what filter to run without it but lesson learned
