Glad you got it sorted without much hassle. I will be doing this mod soon and will pay extra attention to the blockoff plate--no warmup beers I suppose:(.

Eh. I didn't have any and I put mine on upside down so maybe I would have been better off if I did.

On a more serious note, a quarter inch drive long thin extension is the only way I was able to get the right angle on the 9/16 head of the back bolt. I did all of it without taking the vacuum pump off. I couldn't get it to work originally because my half inch long thicker drive extension at the right angle between the vacuum pump to get the socket on the bolt.

I still don't have it perfect. I let the truck idle hot at work for 5+ minutes and had one single solitary drop. Moved it snd let it run and revved it some and nothing.... Could have been oil that was still on things from before, but I'm thinking i may have had a piece of something between the gasket and the block after taking it on and off so I'm gonna check later in the week.

And, it was still not perfect because I bent it beyond all recognition. Some time with the vice and a hammer and some more rtv and I ran it for some errands today and let it idle for 5 minutes when I got home and not one drip of oil nor is anything wet underneath the truck. Victory.

Now the stupid fuel filter with the increased pressure was dripping on the main o-ring between the water separator on the bottom of the filter and the screw in piece. I might just convert to a one piece fuel filter / water separator next time. I just had read that the racor fuel filters had the best micron rating so that's what I had been using.
