Knuckledragger
blowing chunks and grabbing porcelain
Since looking for parts for my 4x4, I have found another truck that might be a candidate for a parts truck or body swap. The price is really good, even to make me consider dragging it out of the desert.
It is a 1987 F350 4x4 DRW with 6.9, 4 speed and ATS turbo. It is missing the IP, injector lines, A/C condenser and compressor, probably a few more minor pieces. I have a manual for 1985 but do not know if the codes are the same for axles , since the front is a D60 and rear looks like a 10.25 sterling, both not offered that early. It also has a complete interior and the little cab lights to make it feel like a tractor.
VIN is:1FDKF3812HKA25015 The build date is 12-18-1986, so it is a 6.9 for sure (even has v belt drives, early fuel head, early vacuum pump).
Door tag says: WB 137, Paint F384, Body LK8 (it was registered as a flatbed, now is a cab and chassis), Trans P, Axle F5
I am going to try to find the information on the interwebs, a search of the OB forums did not turn up anything I could use. Admittedly, I am not particularly adept at using the search function, because I am pretty sure these decoding matrices have been posted many times. I would be very grateful to anyone who has and posts the information.
