Hi guys new to this site, I just recently got a 91 f250 auto 4x4 single cab long bed for a mud truck without the engine. Now I got a buddy Thats got a 89 7.3 Idi that came out of a manual, how can o bolt this up to the e4od, just change the flywheel correct? Thanks.

manuals have flywheels
auto's have flex plates.
someone else will chime in because i delete all the autos in my life
(or trying to)
you also have to determine which trans it is, because i believe the TPS's are different.

oah, and welcome to the forum

Damn OK I mean everything still on the back of the motor except trans ect flywheel clutch assembly but thank you

all you should need is the TPS that bolts onto the injection pump and the bracket for the TPS if you don't have one. you will need a flex plate as IDIoit said.

throttle position sensor, it tells your trans when to shift.
like a vacuum port for gassers with automatics.
diesels dont create a vacuum, so you need something to tell the trans what to do.

Ohh OK thanks I'll be looking into all of that. Hopefully everything goes good when I slap the motor in a few weeks from now

just ditch that flywheel and bolt her up to your engine with your flexplate.
