Ignition Key Switch Replacement: Is there a simple way to get the same cut key?

On my last truck, I changed the ignition switch out as the old one was getting super worn. Easy job, but when I was done, I had a door key, an ignition key, and a glove box key.

The tumblers are getting pretty worn on my current truck's key switch, and I want to replace it, but I would really prefer to have the same key that fits the ignition, door and glove box.

If anybody has some info on a longer lasting key switch, I'm all ears. Last time I physically looked at all the brands next to each other and other than chrome vs black, they all appeared to be manufactured by the same folks regardless of who's packaging they were in at the parts store. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but this truck does not have the "press this lever forward to remove the key" style ignition switch, you just stuff the key in it and turn it on or off.

Lastly, my truck is a 95 Powerstroke, but I posted this in the IDI section because there's usually more traffic/knowledge over here.

I'm not sure about the 95's but I got a door and ignition set from national parts depot that was an actual ford set made by Briggs and Stratton I believe.

An ignition and door set from ford is affordable. I'm on my 3rd set.

Also, on this latest set I put the ignition key on a quick release to keep the weight of the rest of the keys off the cylinder. It makes a big difference in longevity. (GM has had some trouble with this recently you may have seen in the news...)

Thanks for the tip, I always try to have the smallest set of keys possible as beating up the column/lock area always bugs me, but I never thought about the weight killing the tumbler itself.

I bought a kit on eBay and I now can re-key my Ford locks. My F150, my Bronco, and my 74 F350 all use the same ignition key and the Bronco and F150 have the same door key (the 74 uses the same key for door and ignition). The kit was only about $40.

Any info on this "kit"? I am interested in doing this with all my FORD trucks.
