Thanks Mike. I had several of Jason's wenches and those are the ones in my timing meter rental kit. If I had the time I sure would by a couple of those wrenches from him but times running out. They are superior to the factory wrench. When Jason and his wife were out here in cali a few years ago kunckledragger and i had dinner with them. It was at that time I asked if he could make these wrenches. so gave him my factory wrench and he sent me several. Very much helped me out and in turn I helped him make a saleable item to idi owners..:sly:thumbsup: That is the wrench I needed to see. I have been cutting card board patterns and now I see what I was missing. thanks so much.

This should be on any idi owners wish list. Its a must have tool. I have to remember to explain how this wrench fits our idi injection pump. A few years ago a member rented this meter and didn't ask how the tool conects to the pump so he stuck in in between the hard lines on the wrong end of the pump.. I'm surprised he got it in but also surprised it didn't snap off a fitting ot hard line. One member sent back a wrench that was bent. That too was a shocker. After bending the wrench and talking to me he mentioned that "someone" had removed the pump and gear housing when they replaced the pump and now its turned way over to touching the radiater return line...Wow.. Another shocker. Sounds like someone can't follow simple directions and not remove the pump gear cover housing cause they can't get the gear timing correct. I get all kinds but try to help them all. Nobody leaves me with less knowledge about timing this I know for sure. And then they too can pass that along to others. Knowledge is the gift that keeps on giving if you share it with others.

I have found that a wrench placed here on the ump does pretty good at turning it for minor adjustments.

Btw, this picture is from what came in the mail Monday. Straight from Pennsylvania.

And on top of that, this was thrown in the box for free.

Now thats a fine looking pump. Also thats the additive I run in my fuel. If stanadyne made it they must know something others don't know. I bought three cases of that stuff on my way to the 2009 rally when I drove thru Phoenix. Each case had 6 containers of 1/2 gallon each. I got a hell of a great ebay deal on it too. When I picked it up the counter guy tried to charge me a much higher price for the 9 gallons saying thats the price you HAVE to pay. Well I showed him my reciete telling him I had already paid the ebay price and the information telling me DAVE explained I could pick it up on the road.. He was not a happy guy knowing I got the ebay price.

Not all Stanadyne injection pumps come with that lug on them. Those that do have it made easy for them.. Jason's wrench is still the bomb. We designed it with a built in extension. I have found the only reason a person bends these wrenches is they have no idea they are out of adjustment and keep on tugging trying to get more. Even the hulk couldn't make more adjustment once your over to the stop. Then its a problem with gear timing and we all know thats a ****** to fix.
