Idi vs powerstroke

So on my way home I got cut off by an obs powerstroke. I knew the kid so I decided to pass him on a straight.( and yes it actually was a passing zone) so when I stepped on it he saw it comming and floored it. I was actually slowly pulling up next to him but then a car was coming so I backed off. But it felt pretty good to gain on a powerstroke with a non turbo 6.9. Then a few miles up the road he took off but it was a steep grade and I didn't have a chance to catch him. Now I just gotta put the turbo on so I could have passed him on that hill!

Mine has waxed more than one chip/intake/exhaust OBS, they are actually turds in stock form

Ya I know they can be pretty slow. is there anything done to your truck or is it mostly stock?

It's all in the sig or my build thread, all the fuel I can wring out of the stock pump, Holset and some timing when I want it.

Mine does that all the time.
I think the default for mobile is no signature. But if you click "advanced" it gives the option.

Couldn't agree more, but they're not as bad as some of the other trucks.
I've beat a few cummins down the highway.
I'll tell ya one thing though, don't mess with a duramax.

they might feel like turds driving them like a hotrod, but they are NOT hot rods. The difference between an obs stroke and an NA idi with ANY load (at least at this elev.) is pretty huge.

What are your gears? 4.1 Im guessing, mine is done at about 95 on 35s. If I ever get my valve springs and gov spring in however...
