I lost reverse in my 727, any ideas?

My 72 D200 has no reverse and before I start tearing the transmission out are there any common issues that may have occurred? There was no warning and I did not hear anything that I should not have. I checked the linkage and as far as I can tell it looks fine. The fluid level also looks fine. What else should I look for?

I believe Reverse is also first gear, do u still have first gear?

you're screwed.
it wasn't uncommon for the reverse band to fall out of adjustment.
what you're dealing with is significantly worse. good part is 727 parts are still fairly pentiful, at least in my neck of they woods they are.

I have a rebiuld kit and some upgrades. All I need now is a new torque converter.
