Nice pics of the install Calvin, I had forgotten how nice that install looks. I like how its mostly down behind the bumper and not covering the radiater so much.

I guess the next question is if I end up with a bunch of these, any interest? and its just the piping no intake hat ,but I may have to make a different one to fit these tubes.

I would be interested. If you found a bunch of these they would be worth getting. ATS doesn't offer them anymore do they? Last time I looked into it I thought that was the case. I'm pretty sure the intake hat isn't available anymore. Not sure about the the intercooler itself. Do these kits you are looking at have intercoolers with them or just piping?

Has anyone out there plumbed a different IC in with the ATS pipes. The IC looks fairly generic. Do anyone know of a specific IC that will mount up and plumb in like the original? I would think you should be able to have them for cheaper than new ones were, in which case you could move them and make some $.

Type4,
Off topic. Is your web site up yet?

the IC i very generic. you can find chinese copies of it for $150. As long as it's a "bar and plate" design, the efficiency is twice of a 7.3 PSD unit. I was in some brutally warm (very hot) weather in the southwest late July and I still was able to pull hard up the grade from AZ to CA in 110* plus temp and my EGT's never got above 1000*

That grade Towcat speaks of is truely a brutle climb from the Colorado River all the way up to a high and hot elevation. As your climbing the grade increases on you. I think it ends at 7 or 8% too. Its either 16 or 32 miles long and hell on any car or truck pulling in mt or loaded. That grade is the first time I ever saw my "check engine lite" on. I was about 2 miles from the top and pulled over. Had the 5th wheel in tow at 10,000 lbs. Wifey kept the rpm at 1500 while I poured water over the radiater I had from the 5th wheel.. Saved the day that time having some drinking water available to cool down the engine... I think this is the tuffest grade in California too...

If you could get the piping kit like Calvin has available with all the couplers needed I'd buy atleast one of them. Please keep us updated.

Stay tuned for updates, got pics coming. Justin found a load of idi parts and since I spent 5k on the last surplus I am getting first shot at the remainder, I am getting a list and pics in a few days.

AND DONT BOTHER CALLING THEM, THAY HAVE NO "INVENTORY" OF IDI PARTS ANY LONGER. That will just **** them off and then they will scrap it all. I hate big business. But this could be a good thing for many.

isn't it just easier and cheaper to take the truck to an exhaust shop and have 'em bend up some exhaust pipe guys?
this is what im planning on doing.so just wondering.besides without the same cooler and same location, the ats pipes will only be so good to us right?
i don't wanna miss out on something and do something foolishly/needlessly.im always looking for a bargain.have to,or i wouldn't have half the mods i do now lmao.
