I have an old farm truck that only goes from field to field barely even on the road, so I hesitate to drop much money. Now it needs an IP. I see the ones on ebay u-haul for sale, so how are they working out for those here that have bought one? mind you its a slow field use only truck and doesn't get the attention it needs ( its my Dad's truck) but I still need it to run, which it stopped doing recently due to IP failure.

Just wanna know if this will be a viable cheap to use, not expecting an hi-performance or anything, just start and run smooth at lower speed.

I'm running a U-Haul IP on my truck right now. I have no complaints with it. At the same time, the truck doesn't get too much usage.

The one I bought had to be dissasembled and cleaned. I gave it to a guy I work with to put on his truck in return for some help. Upon first installation it fired up but the truck kept dieing due to the metering valve sticking. We tried everything in the world to make it stop and finally just pulled it back off and took it just about all the way apart and cleaned it. Put it back on and it seems to running fine now.

Can't comment of UHaul's IPs, but their rubber parts, like hoses and belts, are crap.

They may sell them as New, Old Stock, but after sitting on a shelf for 10+ years, they only last a few months in service before massive failure.
