Along with NMB2's pics Racin's truck also looks nice too. Here is a pic... And a damn nice and powerful truck too for much less than a new one.

Also on the topic of Oldbull's question about the reason for higher torque is the fact that Racin has a smaller turbine housing than NMB2 which allows it to spool up slightly faster. And with the additional fuel it kinda magnifies that affect. This topic was actually tested in the latest Diesel Power and was quite interesting. Also with NMB2's higher horsepower, that come from having a slightly more efficient compressor. I think both of their setups are really good and I can't wait to see what Racin does with his full build. Also puttting that much power through a stock, high mileage long block shows how capable these engines really are. I am sure with more time, it will prove to be pretty reliable...

Ya, Both Truck's look nice in person. NMB2's Truck is more "Finished" with all the gauges, trick lites, tinting, custom fuel system, powder coated everything and some bright red paint to really make it a sharp lookin Truck. Racins got plans for his Truck, Im sure he will get the tuneup figured out soon enuff to give NMB2 a nudge off the top spot on the HP list and on a stock bottom end to boot.

Praise to the new king of idi power. :hail NMB2.

I'm very impressed with the lack of smoke. I honestly thought there would be more. I know he's not going for MPG's, but you guys know what MPG's your getting With those monsters?

So where is this hp and torque from... the rear wheels or the crank... I'm thinking it the crank but even there its an impressive amount. Glad to see the hp tree fruiting too. Work hard and you can play hard...

It really is too bad that these guys aren't on here anymore.

Don't know what happened for them to haul off, don't really care.

Pretty sure it's from the rear wheels.

I've been reviewing his build thread on PSN... the guy has got some skills.

My hat off to anyone who will spend as much time and $ as he has to build an IDI. ;Sweet

The numbers are exactly what these guys should achieve given the amount of work they have put into them. A lot of out of the box thinking, and determination and perserverance. My hat is off to them.

Cool. So those two left ay. Wonder why.

There were some differences of opinion and some bad blood that occurred back then that led to a few permanent vacations from the forum. It's pretty much water under the bridge now so there's no real need to go into detail.

I hope to see more builds like this.

Ya that is definitely wheel horsepower. They are running a lot of fuel and boost on those beasts. And as Racer30 said, it will be interesting when Racin gets his fully tuned. His engine wasn't really revving the full range like the IP was calibrate to. The horsepower also plateaued at about the same point too. There was a question if it was due to the fuel pressure regulator being to much of a restriction for the volume of fuel the IP needs. He plans to test that theory here shortly. Anyone have any other thoughts or ideas about the issue?

Do we have hp/tq graphs for both? EGT numbers/ boost numbers? It is pretty crazy if he (racin) made those numbers by 2100 like stated earlier.
