Did the big drain cooling system today...pain in the neck really...drained the rad...flushed it...was super brown like a dark chocolate milk, flushed till somewhat clear.
Removed block plugs, connected lower rad hose....flushed again till somewhat clear...
drained again, installed two petcocks in block
great idea guys thanks!
connected the lower rad hose, added two lil jugs of GUNK rad flush added water, ran till warm, letting sit, will go for drive, check fluid level and colour. If not dirty may try CLR for a flush again after I get rid of the GUNK...... then flush out again and add water, drive, flush, add water drive flush.
Gotta pick up some charged coolant next week and then done like dinner! Finally add coolant and coolant filter!
So this forces me now to get a bracket made up and some plumbing for the coolant filter I have already to go.
At this point is this worth doing a CASCADE dish washer detergent flush too prior to doing the final clear water then add coolant...I got some cause wifey has a dish washer!

, mine came right out. they were tight but did not fight me at all once they broke loose.
Hope someone can help me with the radiator petcock as I destroyed mine and it looks like maybe the radiator had been changed as the petcock doesn't appear to be in a larger plug. Looks like the plug is formed into the radiator permanent.
