Why do business with people who have a reputation for shafting others? This is the byproduct of the information age, with all the sites that specialize in providing reviews for services, there's no excuse for getting shafted anymore.
Same here. I am not going to toss Ken/DPS under the bus, because I have had no dealings with him. When it came time to buy injectors I went off the recommendations of the members on this forum. There's been more than a few who have had ill dealings with DPS. There's been more than a few who have had good dealings with Russ (typ4)
I bought injectors from Russ. They showed up when he said they would show up, with a top quality return line kit. They all worked as promised. When I broke one, Russ took care of it... I'm not trying to butter the guy up, I've never met him personally. I know he offers mods for the ATS turbos, as well as cams and injectors. He stands by what he sells and he gives you a fair price.
I have a long list of companies/people who have jacked me over in the past, and I won't do business with them again. Simple as that. Worse yet, when people come to me and ask my opinion on things like "where should I take my truck to get the A/C fixed?" I steer them towards shops I trust. It's not just the shop owner's reputation on the line, but mine as well...
The mind set of this group is very much as traditional as the old trucks we drive. We believe in seeing the good guy win, the old practice of supporting stand-up businesses and walking away from crooks.
