I would kill for a crew cab 4x4 3.0 PSD ranger they sell everywhere else except North America. Think of the jobs it would create. Things would sell like hot cakes as well....

But it would hurt their precious F-series sales, and FORD will not allow that

Just think how many people that DRIVE a truck and NOT HAUL with a truck that would go buy a diesel ranger to get 30+ MPG instead of the TEENS of a fullsize. I would actually think about selling my Ranger to get one NEW. WHich would be a 1st new vehicle purchase for me.

But I guess we can keep pipe dreaming because Ford will never allow that

I had a 94 V6 with a 5 speed, Extended cab 4x4. It was as gutless as the 4 banger nissan I had. I only owned that ranger for 28 days.

My bro and I beat the crap outta our dads 98 ranger growing up.:D That thing is the best beater in the world - got 128k on the clock and it is still chugging. I got to find a pic of it. It has a knock on the right side of the front axle though.

I wish I took a picture. I was just down in Argentina and they have crew cab rangers with 3.0L powerstroke engines EVERYWHERE! They seem to come stock with a rack on the bed too. They weren't called rangers- 3.0L powerstroke was the decal on the tailgate and most were 4x4. The only downside was the bed looked kinda small. Defenitely a sweet rig and I would love to have one. Probably get crazy good mileage. They also had F-100 trucks everywhere too. These were the OBS down there, but pretty sure most of these were gassers. But plenty of those still around. My wife's grandmother has a pristine Ford Falcon. This is down in Patagonia where the air is dry.
