Couldnt take the woodgrain dash any longer. Had a spare set of dash/radio inserts. I did a light sand and used non-skid paint. looks nice and clean now.:D

Mine has woodgrain along the edges of the panels, but it's actually pristine and kinda pretty. On these trucks there's an aluminum overlay on the dash panels that, if you can keep the paint on, makes the woodgrain look iridescent. Once it starts flaking, it looks cheesy. Requesting pics please, gunz!

Both the 90 and 91 had woodgrain dash trim. I think it was part of the XLT lariat package. i just never cared fro the woodgrain look. I have owned 4 of thsi same body style and all were woodgrain. So I changed this one.

I took this picture when I had just the radio panle installed just for effect. I used teh scratched up woodgrain panles from the 1990, so i still have a complete woodgrain set from my 92. But I dont see me ever going back to them.

I finally got the last panels installed last night, Its all black non skid now.

I should clarify for the masses, Its just that I dont personally care for the woodgrain look in a vehicle. Not that its bad, Just not my cup of tea. Hope I didnt insult anyone that likes the woodgrain, that was not my intention, Just making the truck mine with my preferences.

I do have a pristine set of woodgrain panles except the lower right panel is anyone needs them. I painted the chipped up panles out of the donor truck so I did not ruin a panel that was in great shape.

Again tho i hope I did not offend anyone.

i like the black better, not a real big fan of fake wood molding, trim etc. inside or out.

I'm gonna paint mine as well, got any more pictures?

I don't mind the wood grain but mine is chipped and want to make it look better anyway. give me real wood (LOL) or colored plastic. not fake plastic//aluminum wood stuff
