That rust isn't that bad...I used to own an IH Scout that had spent its life in Michigan and Utah before winding up on the Central CA coast when I bought it. As my dad once said, if it hadn't been for the rust particles holding hands, the whole truck would have fallen apart years ago  :D

It looks like you have fender flares on there already? I'm not sure if there's a different fender flare that would cover that up better. One other thought...have you gotten your hands on an LMC Truck catalog yet? IIRC they sell sheet metal replacements for that area...

Also, for image editing software, check out GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/ ...basically an open-source free alternative to Photoshop ;Sweet It's mainly meant for Linux, but there's also a Windows version...

Correction: I dislike all doctors whom have the intention of sewing me. I could continue with an inappropriate joke here but you guys seem the type that blush easily, so I will contain myself.

hahaha

I am still laughing at "cute little Jeep" ahahaha
we don't blush easy, you're not asking the right question...
you didn't ask what our resident doc's specialty is.:sly
I can't help you on finding rust repair panels other than LMC.
the fibreglass fender flares are a Centurion specific item and are as rare as hen's teeth. your odds are much better in finding a bodyshop that can fix fibreglass.
is your BF feeling the hurt on the cute little jeep? so now he makes sure the C5 is seen so he feels less inadequate?:D:rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao

Thank you for the laugh Corey.

I heard 10,000 total Centurions, not sure if that includes those hideous van/dually pick ups

Bet that includes the ones that remained pickups.

And if you've ever been dragged through THREE different Bed Bath and Beyonds, you can imagine how I was driving home.

It was more like fleeing.
One is bad enough.:puke:

hmmmmm

the high dollar rebuilds require the radiator cooler to be bypassed and 3/8 lines or the warranty is voided before you even start it up.
could it be something i dont know???i have been misled to believe the trans cooler is in the radiator is to regulate the transmission fluid temp ,,i guess its possible you can bypass it and put a aux cooler if you like replaceing transmissions in my opinion ,,however lets hear from the experts ,,,,to find out why ford put the trans cooler in the rad maybe no room in the glovebox ???

Actually the glove box is a good idea. It's pretty much wasted space anyway. You can always have your passengers blow on it. You can stick your finger on it to see if it's over heating, saving you the money and aggravation of installing a pesky temp sensor.

I believe I will bypass it all and have the vent hose dump right into my intake.

The Captain and I are enjoying our Friday night, as you can see

guess i found another know it all

one of the problems with the e4od is poor lubrication threw the return side of the cooler.this is why the expensive rebuilds use the cooling tube fittings from a 4r100 and 3/8 lines with a large cooler, preferably a stacked plate cooler in the grill and bypassing the rad cooler.

The engine coolant dumps a lot of heat into the transmission. that's the main problem with it.
The reason for having it is to heat the transmission faster in the winter for those that live in the frozen north. That is also why the line from the heater goes to the bottom of the rad.

Ahhhhh... a kindred spirit. That place is an invention of the Devil. My wife dragged me there once. It almost caused a divorce. I guess she took offense at some of the things I said.

Don't tell me Heath is an OBGYN......I sure hope he doesn't sew up his patients.

Yup. And, yes, I do sew up tears (occurs during birth) and incisions all the time.... I certainly don't close things that are supposed to be open.;Really:D

I get the old "put an extra stitch in there for me doc.." when closing birth lacerations. My favorite response to the Dad is...... "so you have a penicl ***** eh? Sorry to hear that...":rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao
