how many 4-door broncos did ford make ?first one ive seen is it a turbo ? ive owned a few 2-door ..models great trucks also trans overheating ?what is the trans temp ?and what driving conditions causes it to overheat ??hiway od ,stop-go traffic -towing? unless you tow heavy the factory trans cooler is enough..also if you do add a trans cooler you still need to run the rad cooler also in the loop.
I heard 10,000 total Centurions, not sure if that includes those hideous van/dually pick ups
No clue on temp, ordered sensor, should be here soon.
I would say highway causes it. I was putting around town, bringing my sister in law to three different Bed Bath and Beyonds last week and it was fine til I hopped on the highway and drove home.
And if you've ever been dragged through THREE different Bed Bath and Beyonds, you can imagine how I was driving home.
It was more like fleeing.
Started spitting up. Didn't dump it all, but I could smell it and saw my trail of shame on the road behind me.
Since then I have replaced the internal filter. The fluid coming out of that filter was a whole new kind of black. I am thinking a lot of restriction. But the over all fluid wasn't actually too burnt. I am not feeling this rubber gasket they give, I want to reuse the trusty old OEM one, but we shall see. Anything better than cork!!
I have also recently replaced the rad. I am waiting for temp sensor to come in before I drive it though.
I see a lot of mention about this 3/8 line conversion... I just got this new flaring tool... is this worth doing? Being as I have a blue oval and I live in NJ, I am going to be doing those lines anyway...
