regarding getting a customer base, get a site up to sell your products and get dieselworld or another magazing to write an article about your truck running the products you sell and mentioning the numbers you put down. and mentioning your website obviously.

that could be a good idea....we'll see how it goes when I get this new truck build started in a couple months.

I can help you make a website if you ever need a hand :sly

I'm interested, I could afford 2k range somewhat but too much higher then that would be a long while before I'd be able to.

I'm interested in the turbo conversion. I have the 94 sitting in the back right now waiting for me to get a cab on it. Now would be the time to start prepping the engine. Ceramic coating is also a doable for me as I know someone nearby who does ceramic coating. I'm fairly sure a place in houston can cryo my stuff other wise I'll farm it out.

IIRC Ken only offered his own stud kit for the 7.3 IDI because ARP had no options for us until Typ4 figured out that a normal 1/2" stud they offered would work. Icanfixall certainly installed those 7.3 studs correctly but who knows if his previous motor meltdown had something to do with why the DPS studs failed. Personally since I have a 6.9 I'd use the ARP studs, there's nothing wrong with them for sure up to and above 20 psi especially if you coat your head gaskets and overtorque the studs.

My question is what is the fuel consumption going to be like. I know mine varies widely with my foot. Power isnt everything, well it is but you know what I mean. What size is that z comp wheel? The ones I could search were a bit smaller than the 60-1.

Otherwise, sounds great.

is your 60-1 57mm inducer 76mm exducer?

my comp wheel is 67mm inducer 84mm exducer. Also a 4" inlet vs the 2.5" inlet on the ATS turbo, and 2.5" outlet.

Yep that would be the one. I am going to get a bigger wheel and housing and see what happens, my max boost is 15 full load. I have some fuel left I think cause the egt is still at 1100 full boost.

My ATS 093 maxxed out at 20-22psi with the wastegate locked up. MAX egt was about 1050-1100, and although thats running the turbo off of the map, I didnt get intake temp issues either, it handled it pretty well.

I haven't really seen a performance gain by my comp upgrade due to I'm still boosting the same. I'm sure its making a few more ponies from the cooler air charge, but it's real performance will come out when I break out of the 20-22psi. The new motor will be 25-26psi after the intercooler.

I am interested in the comp housing upgrades. I don't know much about the science of turbo's when it gets into different housings and wheels. I would like to hear more about it though. What different comp housing upgrades have been tried and how they performed. Right now the only turbo upgrade I have is the 3" turbine outlet housing (not yet installed), but maybe I should be looking into doing a mod to the compressor side.

Again for posterity:

Ok, so I'm glad everyone was impressed with my dyno numbers and showed so much interest. I'll be honest, that was my test motor and now that I know what I can push out of these... now I'm going to show you guys my real skills, and this engines real potential with a full build.

Here I will give you a basic outline of my plans which will commence in July/August and I will have the new motor completed in september. I am also gauging interest on custom parts I build (for 093 based kits)

non turbo 7.3 block bored and sleeved down to 6.9
cryoed rods/pins/pistons/main caps
main girdle (I will sell these if interested)
6.9 heads ported and polished exhaust side, polished intake, bored cups, valved, springed, 7.3 rockers.
Cammed
magnum pushrods
ceramic coated manifolds
2.5" x-over pipe and up pipe (will sell if interested) wrapped.
Full T04z built turbo (will mod if interested)
4" exhaust housing and down pipe (will sell if interested)
4" intake tube/6637 kit with box(will sell if interested)
intercooler
DPS stage 1 sticks

I will also be debuting the DPS 4plunger pump capable of 2x the fuel delivery of the current DPS pump with the same incredible power curves. More details to follow when Ken releases it.

Of course I'm not showing all of my cards yet, I'm still holding a few big tricks up my sleeve, but hopefully this will keep you all interested and not feeling like I'm being secretive. (which was my initial plan btw)

Trust me, there is alot more to it than this list... I wish it was as simple as reading it off, but its not. I will release more info from my trial's and errors, a full write up on how to build what I build, the 400+hp IDI, and approximate build cost.....and... wait for it...

a Nice truck to wrap around this beast. I will be putting this into a 94 350 SC dually. Followed by the dyno numbers.

I will happily pave the way for others that are committed to getting power and reliability from these, but do not want to take the financial/time related risks involved wondering into the "unknown".

By the time I am done I hope to be able to compile a list of "power packages" so there is no more guessing games with these platforms. You will know what it is going to cost, to get these numbers and results from your truck.

Like I already said, I'm not those guys that have been coming on this board since the start about to build a crazy IDI and then disappears. I hope I have everyone's attention, I am the guy that's already done it.

My new setup is going to laugh at my current setup, trust me.

How about an explanation for your deletion?
