Oldbull... Knowing what the govenered rpm is on these pumps would be nice to know. Then give mel a pm asking if that rpm is suitable with what the moos pumps need. If the u-haul pumps are set for a lower rpm can mels builder return them to the rpm thats fit for our rigs.. Cost facters need to be known too. That pump at $240.00 looks great but.. More info is required before purchase.....

Yea there is no way to tell. U-Haul obviously had service parts on-hand, that they are dumping, and there is no telling who actually did the rebuild.

The price is the cheapest I have seen on ebay in years of "shopping there"...:D For the price its worth buying one and just sitting it on a shelf. Or put it in a sealed can with some desicant to absorb any possible moisture. Spare parts are always good parts....:D

ican: Looks like those pumps are in a sealed pouch. That will make 5 of them that I will have on the shelf. :D

Wow thats a good price. If it wasn't for all the other parts I have been throwing at the truck and the fact I need to get a starter still I would probably try to get one. I would think it would have to be in better shape than what is on my truck now. Mine is working fine though. I think I need to do something though w/ my timing. I must have installed it a tooth off or something? I have it turned as far to the passenger side as I can and it still seems retarded. Its hard to start but once its started it runs great but has blue smoke coming out of it. It needs advanced right? Glowplugs and fuel system are in good shape, all new lines, return lines, seems to have smoke out the tailpipe right away at cranking so I don't think its air in the lines. It ran great before I messed w/ it but it was warmer last time I ran it. I did run it all last winter and even w/ autolite plugs I could start it below zero. These motorcraft plugs are staying on longer and its starting worse.

I just bought one, U haul one, that is worth it in parts if you ever need a head and rotor.

They have courier parts, thats funny.

OLDBULL, did that rebuilt pump go in yet?

There has been a slight hold up on installing that pump.

Broke my damn ankle two weeks ago today. Just now getting to walk on it.

So many things to do, it really throwed a Monkey Wrench in my projects.

Could I use one of the 93-95 pumps from Uhaul on my 92? Is there any difference between 92 and 93?

I have "searched" and found that only difference between Auto and Manual IP is the TPS.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Any stanadyne db2 pump will work on any idi engine but... Don't try to use the pump the chevy 6.2 & 6.5 diesels had.... Those rotate backwards to our engines. They also are db2 pumps.
