You can always do like the guys with the N14 Cummins and the 702 V12 GMC and stick it in the bed of the truck.

Up in the western side of PA there was a wrecker company with one mounted on the bed of their semi wrecker to power the winches. All the winches were chain driven from redirect boxes hooked to the driveshaft coming from the clutch assembly on the back of the engine. I think they used it when thy built the wrecker because it was sitting in the yard for some reason. I'll look and see if I can find the name of the wrecker service. I know I never saw the winches stall anytime it was in use.

Actually,I don't know if that is a 16V71.Looks more like a 16V53.THe valve covers are not 71 series style unless industrial engines had different covers. The 71 had the same as a 92.Cast aluminum with flat top and an angled down shoulder(unless it was a jake engine then it had a more inverted V shape.

Awfully clean for a detriot. Must have been power washed before the pictures were taken (or set on fireLOL). I'd still love to hear it scream though.

How in Hades would you transmit power from the flywheel to the wheels?

I don't know of ANY multi-speed tranny that could handle that engine, and methinks a marine gearbox wouldn't work too well...
