The key to making any brand of tire last is proper inflation, alignment and how ya push on the go pedal.

If ya like to go fast with underinflated tires or an misaligned front end you're gonna watch the tires degrade quickly.
I've been running a set of Firestone AT's on my dually that have been on 3 trucks, unkown how many miles on them but they've got over 7 years on them and are just getting to the point of needing replaced due to wear and a few spots are starting to dry rot.

I like the Toyo's, I have a set of M55 for winter and a set of MT's for summer driving. Good wear so far.

I had some TreadWright Recap tires...These were the M/T's, and they worked great on the highway, and offroad, but gravel ate the crap out of them. I would recommend treadwright tires for highway miles, but not for lots of gravel and backroads, and they MUST be properly balanced. I liked them cuz they were cheap, I got all 4 285/75/R16's for $350 and free shipping on eBay.
I liked them a lot, but I spent the last half of thier life tearing down the gravel roads...and they went quick when that started.

My dad has had a LOT of luck with Toyo Open Country A/T's. He gets them in Load Range E, and he's gotten a crapload of miles on them. But, they aren't much for traction. I once saw his 4wd super duty get stuck in wet grass with them on. Pulled it with the Kawasaki mule...

I dont plan on getting retreads again. well not for constant duty anyway. for winter only of mud only thats fine but they dont last very long. and i did mostly highway driving and less than 10,000 miles and the one has less than 1/4in of tread....

I vote Cooper Discoverer STT's, I ran them for 25,000 on my F350 then switched them to my F150, and ran them for 15,000 until I sold them to my buddy and he still has them with about half tire life left.

I know they will throw rocks...but seriously BFG has got to be the worst about it.

You are correct on that! With my truck the rocks get thrown back and hit the front of the Cheater Dually Fenders. I am starting to get some chips in the paint. I actually got in the habit of stopping and picking the rocks out of the tread of the front tires after I leave Ron's house. It is about a mile of gravel road before you hit pavement. I keep a small screwdriver in the drivers door pocket just for this application.

Those power kings are OLD SCHOOL mud traction tires!
My dad used to run a tire called Workhorse on our grandpas truck and I know he had very good luck with them, he ran standard workhorse tires for a while and then he went to Workhorse MT tires which were kind of an old school mud tire like those power kings. I should see if I can find those tires because he used the snot out of them and they were always a good tire.

I'm thinking pro-comps. The tread design looks about as aggressive as BFG, its an E rated tire (but like mentioned thats irelevent the weight rating is more important)...and its $200 cheaper for the whole set. Plus the warranty ;Sweet

I've seen 31" tires exactly like that on a 2wd Chevy Luv....needless to say it had some of the bed cut off to fit it (by me LOL). Stock had front sized tires. That thing went everywhere my truck could go ;Sweet
