I cant remember exactly, drilling for the top two bolts at least. Maybe typ4 will chime in he's done it

well tomarrow im going to go get my f150 parts truck and me and my buddy will start tearing it and my 93 f150 apart and then pull the 6.9 out of my 83, and yall are all going to hate the color im going to paint this engine but o well:D somewere down the road some one has done something to the engine because its been painted orange like the bowtie orange, not really sure what all they done to it but anyway im going to go back and clean it up really good and paint it bowtie orange that way when i rev it to the moon it might hold together:eek:LOL:D i think it will look pretty good but i will probly get banned for paint an idi bowtie orange:rotflmao

I think You guys are thinking of a ZF6 Behind an IDI.

The gasser stuff is too narrow and would require a custom adapter. I've never heard of anyone wasting their time doing it. Seeing as there are already trannies readily available for less time, money, hassles.

if you were making this a mudder wouldn't the manual trans be difficult?

I don't do offroad, but it seems the variable speed of an automatic would be prefered to the stall or spin condition induced by a manual.

I was origannaly thinking of making it a mud bogger but it will probly just be a toy something like a hot rod do some nice burn outs drive it around town maybe run it dont th3 1/8th mile see how it does
