Hey it sounds like you are definitely keeping your intake charge cool. Yes propane is a catalyst and helps you get a better burn out of the diesel. I don't know if it's the turbo or the high compression of the IDI that leads to the inefficient boost after 12-13 psi though.
I broke two of Kens head studs in my driveway. I had just filled the truck with fuel and drove it home ready for a trip. When I got home I found a stud laying in the driveway. When I looked at the motor another stud was "missing". They both were on the drivers side head at the center and in line with the exhaust area. Coolant was leaking out of the head. So it was a mess... The ARP studs are working fine without any issues.
