I finally went and picked this all up yesterday after work. All this only cost me $100!!!

Here are some of the new parts.

New Rotors, one of them isnt even outta box.
New Wheel Cylinders
New Brakes
New Brake Hardware
New Differential cover
New E Brake Cables

I think it is a sterling. no sure the tag numbers yet, but I will post them here to tell what I have exactly. 2 of the 4 tires are brand new it looks like and the other 2 have about 50% tread.

There is a place on both sides where it looks like it is missing something you can kinda see in this picture.

Since there's alot of idi guys here, id like to ask a question. I have a 1990 ford f-250 with a 7.3L idi diesel. What would be the best turbo for me to get? I don't do alot of towing or drag racing, and I dont wanna spend like $700

Kind of off topic for this thread and there are a lot of threads on it in the forum. New you cannot do a turbo for under about $1800 as a kit. Used you can find kits in the $500-1000 range from Banks, ATS, Hypermax and even stock ford (which is ATS). The best kit is the one you can find that makes your budget. I'm not sure there is enough difference between them that it matters when getting a used kit.

That's a steal! How come everybody else gets these deals and not me???? The brake cables alone are worth $100. Yes, it is NOT a Dana.

Since it actually appears to be a 4.10 gear ratio compared to what the guy told me it being the 3.55 what should I do to confirm if its a 3.55 or a 4.10 ratio? Wouldn't be such a big deal if my truck wasn't 4x4...

Kinda hard to measure the ratio without a way to roll it streight. But if you can figure a way, count the revolutions of the pinion gear, as both sides rotate in unison one full revolution. If it turns about three and a half, it is a 3.54, if it turns 4 full times it is a 4.10.

I counted the pinion gears and there were 41, so I suppose its a 4:10. Should I go with a 4:10 ratio and re gear my front or re gear the rear to 3:55?

How do you use your truck? If you do mostly heavy pulling you'll like the extra power the 4.10 give you. Otherwise I would stay with the 3.55 to get better mileage.

Number like 41-10 should be stamped on the outside edge of the ring gear. Also 41 tooth ring gear is used for 3.73 (11 pinion), 4.10 (10 pinion) and 4.56 (9 pinion) so you have to count the number of pinion teeth also to know what ratio you have. 3.55 are 39-11.

Here are the numbers I got off the ring gear.

E5TW DA 1041 6C

So I think I will stick with the 4:10 ratio. I need to figure out how to make that front dana a 4:10 ratio. Any tips on that?

I would agree with you the numbers are 4.10 ratio. Just need to buy a set of gears and have them installed for the front. Keep an eye on ebay and you might even find use gears come up; however, 4.10 is fairly popular ratio to go to so they don't show up as often

The tag on the axle will say 4 10 or 4L 10 or 3 55 or 3L 55 The 4 or the 3 will most likley be covered up by the bolt holding the tag
