Bet I know the guy you got it from, I was talking to him over on TDS when he bought the whole turbo kit, some of his local diesel shops was feeding him a looong line of bull about how he needs to buy one of their IPs to fully experience the turbo (nevermind his IP was a new rebuild from a reputable shop in TN) - told him to walk away, he went to another shop so 80 or so miles away, and couldn't be happier now. Just goes to show what "mechanics" you can run into out there...

You know... When I placed a bid it was only $468.00 cause I really didn't need it but gees... For the asking price how could I go wrong....:dunno Now knowing that nobody but me bid on it maybe its a better deal than I first thought. I looked at what this would have cost by buying it from hypermax and they really get the money for these. I can't see spending $1400.00 for this. I thought some time ago I would buy there pipes for the new hypermax intercooler I have but even that was around $800.00... So now I have no reason for not installing an intercooler to assist the Moose pump... Like the little fat kid said... Things are looken up...:D

That's a HELLUVA deal!!
You should see how muck the guy who sold the intercooler to Gary got his full turbo kit fo ;) It's a perfect example of getting a great deal, then passing it on to someone else (in this case Gary) - win-win situation ;Sweet

Get a good 3" hole saw and the rest is history. You will have to cut through the radiator flanges & support to get the pipes to the front. Don't you have that Rodney Rad alum radiator? Are you ready to cut on it? Not a very hard install.

BTW, while you have the grill off go ahead and cut you a 3"x6" oval in the right side of the radiator support for a cold air inlet. I did and I am about to install the cold air now. See my IC pics in my sig.

Look at this pic. See the radiator flange to the right. There is a tab remaining after you cut the holes through the support and flange. Go ahead and remove that tab and 6-7" continuous from the flange and support. That tab when left will cause a radiator replacement to be very difficult. The IC may have to be removed to save a good radiator.

I had to replace my rad. so I didn't care if I damaged it. But when I put the new rad. back in I made a continuous cut in the rad flange for the IC pipes. Rad. slid right in.

Wow! Very nice deal Gary! I wonder how that Hypermax intercooler intake hat will work with the Banks turbo? Do you think it will work OK?

You planning of an "intercooler door prize" for the rally?:DLOL

You've got a great deal. I've been searching for the same kind of deal from ebay and i didn't even noticed that auction otherwise i would have made a bid. There's always new ones at Hypermax, but i wouldn't want to pay $1400 either.

edit:
Looking the photo that tuckerd1 posted, i just realized that Hypermax's kit wouldn't fit to my truck. I have engine preheater installed just in a spot where the intercooler pipes would go. So it means that i have to make my own custom piping for the intercooler...
