i imagine you could bend your arm to compensate, the sender arm that is.:D

By diligent use of a square and measuring-stick, I was able to fine-tune the new sender in my front-tank to be much more accurate than the factory supplied one.;Sweet

you can also pull the bed if you want to avoid dropping the tanks. In my case it's the easier route if you have 4 friends around :)

How is that easier?
2 hose clamps, 8 bolts plus 4 more for the tank, compared to just 4 and one clamp?

To drop my front tank:

1. 6 bolts for the shield
2. dunno how many for the tank itself
3. disconnect hoses from the FSV & filler neck

rear:

6 bolts and the assorted hoses

vs 6 bolts holding the bed on? And then there's getting that crap all back on again. I'd think the bed would be easier especially if all you wanted to work on was the senders....

Before I did either, I would be cutting some trap-doors.;Sweet

I've replaced my rear tank and dropped it two or three times since to "re-mod" the filler neck and breather tube. I know it would be easier and cleaner to do the work with the bed off. I didn't have enough help so I dropped it all in the driveway myself. The neighbors know my extended vocabulary.
