I received a package from Wyoming today :Thumbs Up have not had a chance to open it yet but it is in the trunk of my car at work and I think I will have to check it out on break. Got lucky and caught this item in stock. Pretty excited to get it installed

Took a 150 (+/-) ride today. One rear brake locks a little under hard braking. The new seat pad and upholstery (LMC) looks nice but has an odor that won't go away. Maybe the odor is from a leak (the truck sat outdoors for 3 weeks waiting for the seat to be redone - although there's no sign of a leak anywhere) . The seat pad has me sitting much higher with my head about 4" from the headliner. The old seat had about 12" of space between the top of my head and the headliner. The truck ran fine, E4OD ran about 150 degrees. 3 years ago a shop replaced the fuel transfer and in tank pickup for both tanks; the rear tank read 1/4 and as we returned home the engine stalled due to no fuel in our dooryard. 13.2 gallons added topped off the rear tank leaving about 5 gallons unavailable. Rather than mess with it I'll remember to consider 1/4 on the fuel gauge the new empty.
All things considered the 32 year old truck did just fine.

All I managed to do is go look at a '94 F250, ex cab, 4X4, e4OD, Factory Turbo truck that I'm hoping to buy. The body's in good shape and it only has 147,000 miles on it, but there's A LOT of cobbled up stuff under the hood. The guy who has it isn't very bright. He's put quite a bit of time and some money into it and still can't get it started. I know that it has air intrusion issues and probably fuel drain back issues too. If I can get it, I'll uncobble it, fix the air issues, and then turn around and sell it. He's getting frustrated so I feel that my chances are getting better. The last owner died over a year ago, and, if I would have known that the truck was still around, I would have been asking about it months back. I also told this guy that I wasn't going to help him very much if he went to You Tube University. I knew that he'd go right there and I was right so I'm not much help.

Get it running in his driveway and drive it home. I did that with a 1988 f350 I parted out once. Guys face was priceless.

It will take more than driveway repairs. I don't know what it will need right now. I told him that I can't tell any more without a deep dive which I wasn't going to do. There is a slight possibility that it could happen since the "spray" that he was using to try to start it turned out to be brake cleaner. The dumbest thing on his part is that before it was towed into town, it would start and run for about 4 seconds and then die, according to him. He admits that he went backward on it.

Do you think a needle scaler would’ve worked well here or wire wheel be better?
I started using a needle scaler on some parts and figured out it is pretty aggressive. It will leave some marks in the metal. I switched to a wire wheel (and drug some parts to work and threw them in the industrial sand blaster)

Well as crappy as the weekend started with the rain, I did manage to end it with a bang. Ok, many bangs. Another successful dove hunt. I went out with a couple of other guys this morning because one is a truck driver and had to leave this afternoon. It was slow, but still fun. We got 15 if you count the one that I dropped into a brush pile that we couldn't get out. I did that by myself this evening. I felt like I shot too many times, but overall, it wasn't too bad considering my handicaps. My dove gun, a semi auto that had a cut off barrel when I got it 25+ years back, malfunctioned this morning. That action quit moving. It's upsetting, but still, it was made back in the 1940's as far as I can tell. That left me with me full choke single shot and my pump with a turkey choke in it. I have a choke tube that's an improved cylinder, but I moved twice since I last saw it, and I haven't been excited enough to replace it since I don't hunt very often any more. I did order a cylinder choke tube today and paid extra for it so it should be here by this coming weekend when we're going back out again.
No pictures from this morning's hunt, but here's the end result of tonight's hunt.

Yesterday I did a bit of nasty work on my F250. I had what I thought was a leaking wheel cylinder on the right rear, at least until I pulled the wheel and drum and found everything coated in rear axle oil. (Eww.) Blew through two cans of brake clean to wash some of the backing plate and brake parts off and finished with Spray 9. I will replace the brake shoes and wheel cylinder on that side and reassemble tonight. I love the smell of brake clean in the morning. It smells like victory!

I went out monday, drove 3.5 hours to get to Erick oklahoma, all day got 4 birds shot 10 times. I wish we had some birds here! this is third year in row that they are hard to find. Everybody keeps saying that cold front will push the Kansas birds down here, I dont think I have ever seen a kansas Dove.

Sitting in Lowes parking lot waiting for a secret item my husband ordered for curbside pick up. I am almost touching the sign and my big butt is blocking entire lane haha.
Which reminds me I still need to do my leaf spring bracket that rusted off. Oops.
