Given the location, I'd say it likely goes to one of the coolant temperature senders. Do you have an aftermarket temp gauge perhaps that may be using one of the old sensor holes?

I do have an aftermarket temp gauge. So this would normally be plugged into the stock set-up. Thanks

That's for your overtemp light. The temperature sender is plugged in in the picture. Not needed.
