No just about there but between honey do's and the kids i havent gotten much done plus the wife is on furlough with the gov being shut down and don't need it so I'm out enjoying the 40* weather instead but soon ill get it going

I was able / willing to go out and beat on the ole effing Jetta tonight got a bit done still working on it just had to rest the hands from all the little things but was able to button the motor up and back on the motor mount which is 10x easier with the comealong tightened the timing belt got all the sheilds back on now all that's left is the injection line and the intercooler lines prime the system and fire her up and set the timing but while under the Jetta I was looking aroun nd to kinda check on everything and noticed a bunch of bushings that are all crapped out an need replaced also both CV joints where they mount to the trans are loose and a few hoses need replaced so it's the effing Jetta that keeps taking but hopefully I can get it done tonight

Alright all last night I got my final part and blead the fuel system and it fired up like a champ and runs so smooth even before I set the pump timing now all that's left is to change the oil an put it back in service also I need to change the name I don think the effing Jetta is a fitting name any more as I'm pretty happy with the way it was running last night even before I set the timing so thank you Wes for the quality pump

Yeah it is I'm going to upload a video later today of it running and yes it's pretty cold here it's like -6* an still snowing a little luckly we only got 6 inches of snow how much did you get ?

Well last night took the Jetta out for a spin with the vcds Hooked up and everything is spot on for specs and boy does it move the roads were a little snowy but it pulls pretty hard through all the gears also it pulls all the way to defuel it was dark so I couldn't see if it was smoking or not also it governs a little higher than the stock pump but I don't mind also I filled it up and going to check fuel mileage I bet it a bit better I'm very please an so is the wife I'll get a video uploaded asap

So first fuel economy check today anyone wanna take a guess? I'll give you a hint it's fricking amazing also my wife can't stop commenting how well it runs I think the IP me ght have been giving fits for much longer than I ever thought

Close 56 mpg and that included a bit of intown and warming up in the morning

Those ALH engines matched with a five speed are untouchable when it comes to efficiency. It’s a shame they were EPA’ed out of existence.

I know i hear all the newer tdis and low to mid 30s for mileage and don't have the getup the alh does and to bad the interior dosent hold up
