I think Al may have posted a pic of this before but I had the opportunity to take pictures of the hydro and vacuum pedals side by side.

The one with the plastic clip is the vacuum pedal. The other is the hydro.

Here you can see the difference in the pin spacing is about 3/4".

Here are the part numbers on the pedals just for reference.

Sd in brick or obs cabs...all pedals identical

I shoukd say for sta
ndard vacuum brake pedals and clutch pedals....no idea on auto..YET...

The pedal shapes pivot poitns all same.

Hydrboost pedals just have pin 3/4" closer to pedal hing pivot point.

Did a very in depth compaison of Bull Brick n OBS STANDARD trans pedal azsemblies....all pedals same!!!!!!

I was told it was all from a brick nose and the pedal box would indicate that is the case. I was just going to swap pedal boxes but the hydro one is the one that was cracked in my build thread. Buddy of mine is going to take a crack at welding it up. If successful, it will go on the shelf for a spare.

The pics shown above are correct for ONLY THE AUTOMATIC type trans brake pedals. The hydroboost peddle found in the standard trans trucks has a much larger bearing bore. The auto pedal will not work on the standard trans hydroboost trucks. Funny because Mel found this out many years ago upgrading the original Noose Truck to hydroboost. He went to install the auto pedal and was having lots of issues with fit. He figured it out finally but only after lots of trying and all the nice painting and prep work. Reading his post I learned something that day.

Gary these are both manual pedals. I can't speak for the auto pedals. They may differ. :dunno

Thanks for clearing this up. Still my point was to allow everyone the information that we have different pedals for an auto trans or a standard trans. BTW the pics are outstanding and clearly show how much differences are in the pedal pin location.

Yep. I didn't know there was any difference other than the width of the pedal pad so I am better educated now as well.

hey Mike if you get a chance could you take a measurement from the center of the pivot to the center of the pin? You all have me curious about just what I have put together on my ranger hydro boost...

Going off memory, from a while ago, they are 2 3/4 or 3 1/2.

I hope I am not telling you wrong.

Based on the pic above and the ruler, I would say that's pretty close.

I would like to second that measurement request, but from the bottom of the tube to the center of the pin.

It seems like the pin on my vacuum boost pedal sits a lot further away from the hinge tube than that (or the one in my Bruiser).
