had my first experience with the wobble of death yesterday.
runnin down the back roads @ 35-40 mph, over some train tracks that were worse than they looked.

immediately got her down to under 10 mph, and it stopped.

I have a RSK kit under the front end, stock steering box,
but no track bar.

guess its time to re-install the track bar!
and get a redhead when funds allow.

scary moment.

but... the truck handled it like a champ. the dash didn't flop all over the place or anything! lol

one thing I dislike is the offset tierods I have going on with this carrdiack customs steering.
I ordered new ones without the offset last week.

another thing on the list is ordering heims for a custom track bar, I think with a RSK, it will want more flex room
this is why I havnt addressed this yet. id like to use johnny joints.
I did a 150 mile drive today, zero hiccups.
but it needs to be done stat.

other than this, and a mild rear main leak on the temp engine, and the goddaymned throw out bearing the truck has done supurb

Are you running a steering stabilizer at all? Not a fix but it can help.

ok I havnt had an episode again.
last week I went to install the track bar, and the bushings I ordered were sway bar bushings :bail

so I went into my bushing drawer and pulled out some model A front 4 link bushings, and they worked perfectly!!!

just got done working on it for today,

1) the carrdiack customs steering comes with 1 ton off set tie rod ends.
well I can feel them in the steering flop over, was never happy with it.
I had ordered 1 ton TRE's without the offset, and a quick drive to the store, the flop over is gone.

2) installed a rough country 99-04 SD dual steering stabilizer.

I did not install the stickers, so I sacrificed 10 rwhp.
like clock work. I can feel a tad bit of resistance in the steering,
as they all have done for me in the past. but my steering feels super solid.

8 am alignment appointment!

That entire steering set looks beefy as hell. I'm surprised it ever wobbled in the first place.
Looks even better now.
